Description
A rich Moroccan-style blend balancing quality Gunpowder green tea and peppermint leaves. The leaves of this tea are rolled into tight balls that explode in deep rich flavor. Resembling English cannon powder, in Morocco it is enjoyed with plenty of sugar. Originates from Fujian Province, China
Ingredients: Pio lo chun green tea, peppermint
Appearance:
Moroccan mint is a blend of fine gunpowder green tea and peppermint leaf. The process of making the rolled gunpowder balls forces flavors to the surface that are normally deep inside the leaf. Because the leaves are so tightly rolled, this tea will keep exceptionally well. When infused, the little balls gracefully unfold producing a deep golden infusion, smoky flavor with the soothing taste of peppermint. Peppermint is known for its soothing qualities and as a digestive aid.
Brewing Tips:
- Start with your favorite spring or filtered water. Heat the water to between 160 F and 180 F,
- Use a teaspoon (3g) for a 6oz serving. Gunpowder is a denser tea, therefore less is needed for a great tasting cup of tea.
- Steep for 1-3 minutes. Experiment with steeping times, amount of tea and water temperature to personalize your tea experience. Rely on taste, not color. Lengthen subsequent steeping times for additional infusions.
